Therapy Canine

Remi, an English cream golden retriever, is my therapy partner and has worked with many clients of all ages over the past year as she turned 2 this summer. She helps build the therapeutic bond, as many clients see the dog-therapist relationship and feel if the dog trusts the therapist, then they can as well. She helps clients in many ways from just being a calming source to a live toy for processing through trauma which has real feelings and actions. In addition, she helps ADHD and autism kids with social interaction, hyperactivity responses, and impulse control.
