I am a passionate and welcoming clinician who loves interacting with clients of all ages and walks of life. I believe we are all human and allowed to grow, explore, and make mistakes as we live our lives. I have a kind and non-judgemental style and am not afraid to crack a joke if the situation calls for it. I have 4 years of experience in the mental health field through my education at UNC Wilmington. I have enjoyed working at both local non-profits as well as private therapy offices and feel comfortable in a variety of settings.I have an eclectic style and always center my sessions around the client. I utilize a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and even art therapy if the sessions calls for it. I am an explorer and enjoy utilizing a blend of techniques that best fit each unique client in order to achieve the desired results. In my sessions, it is all about the client and I use a gentle mix of exploratory questions, active listening, humor, and reality checks to tailor each session to the clients needs. Previous clients have described me as having a "calming energy", and have enjoyed my "ability to adapt each session" to their needs. In my free time I enjoy reading a good book from the library on the back porch, hiking, thrifting, doing yoga, and working on crafts while enjoying a movie and snuggling with my dog, Lucy. I am always trying to learn new things and my current learning adventure is pottery (ask me how that's going in our first session)! I deeply enjoy being outdoors and believe in the healing energy of nature, as well as the calming energy activities such as hobbies can grant us. I am so excited to meet you and begin a productive therapeutic journey together!
