Thrive Counseling and Wellness offers mental health services for Individuals, Couples, Families and Children/Adolescents. Our therapists utilize person-centered, strengths-based approaches that are backed by empirically evidenced therapeutic models. We realize that therapist is not a “cookie-cutter” fit and that each client will need an individualized approach to treatment, therefore, our therapists have a multitude of other modalities that they are able to utilize to best meet the needs of the client they are working with in session. We have therapists trained in CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, Gottman, IFS, EFT, Expressive Arts, Triple P Parenting and many others that will be incorporated in your individualized treatment plan.
We offer in-person sessions and telehealth sessions to all of our clients. We want to ensure access to care is not a barrier for treatment, therefore, we are able to provide flexible appointment scheduling during the day, evening and weekend to accommodate even the busiest of schedules. We are able to provide services to clients in North Carolina, New York, Florida and Georgia (only specific therapists hold licenses outside the state of North Carolina, therefore scheduling with those therapists would depend on their availability if outside the state).
We work with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral issues. We are competent in treating most mental health diagnoses and problematic dynamics. Some of our more common presenting issues include, but are not limited to, depression and anxiety, relationship concerns (couple or family), mood and personality disorders, trauma, grief, behavior disturbances, childhood disorders, substance use, men’s and women’s issues, parenting and much more. We are also allied with minority populations providing a safe space to obtain treatment in the Lake Norman area.
We will also be offering different group therapy opportunities in the upcoming year to better serve the community and create a different treatment option for specific groups of individuals.
Lastly, Thrive Counseling and Wellness believes in open, honest communication and provides an open-door policy when it comes to concerns with your services. We understand that not every therapist’s approach is a good fit for every client and encourage you to speak with your therapist or a member of our administrative team to ensure we connect you with someone that can best fit your needs. Our clients are our main priority and want to meet your needs the best we can. If we are unable to meet those needs within our practice, we are happy to refer you out to a different provider in the area that may be better suited.
