Amy is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with 10 years of experience working with couples, individuals, and families. She works with adolescents and adults on a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, and childhood trauma.
Amy is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma treatment. EMDR is a somatic trauma treatment that is gaining popularity worldwide. EMDR enables people to heal from symptoms and emotional distress that are a result of disturbing life experiences.
Amy has completed the Association for Partners of Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (MPTM) training. This model utilizes a trauma perspective when assessing and treating an individual impacted by sexual betrayal or addiction on behalf of their spouse or partner.
Her practice focuses on facilitating deep healing of core issues and symptoms through emotion identification and regulation, EMDR, inner child healing, somatic healing, and identifying core beliefs created through childhood trauma.
