Luckily, you don’t have to travel this journey alone. I am here to assist you take charge of your life and use self determination to choose your future. I will be your fellow traveler on the path to happiness and joy, wherever that may take us.

I specialize in substance abuse, codependency, trauma, depression/anxiety, relationships, mood and personality disorders, as well as other life stressors. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, especially teenagers, young adults and couples. I also have a passion for working with veterans, particularly in addressing trauma, PTSD, and civilian obstacles, party due to my family tie to the military.

I use a client-centered, strengths based approach that helps clients feel important, validated and empowered. I tailor my approach to the individual needs of each of my clients. I do not believe in the ‘cookie cutter’ fit of therapy and pull techniques and interventions from different models of therapy to best assist my clients. I enjoy CBT, motivational interviewing, Family Systems and other empirically evidenced models to best formulate treatment plans.

I am a New York native, however, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in North Carolina where I spend my free time with my husband, two sons and two step-daughters. We enjoy visiting local restaurants and shops, while also spending time with the amazing group of friends we have found here.
