Welcome! I am so glad you’re here! Life can be challenging. Maybe you’re feeling depressed, anxious, scared or lonely? People come to therapy for lots of different reasons- wanting change, looking for relief from pain, seeking understanding and support or maybe they don’t really know why. Together, we can discover what landed you here and then work on the skills needed to help you lead a happier life. The good thing is you already have all the tools that are necessary to lead your best life! Sometimes we just need help figuring out what those tools are and how to use them. How we feel influences our thinking and behaviors. Therapy can be transformational when you learn to recognize, understand, and express your feelings and then find strategies to deal with them. Let’s explore this together and work on ways to address the difficulties in your life. It is possible for you to create the life you want. You can do this!

The relationship between a client and a therapist is crucial to the therapeutic process. I encourage honesty and open communication and it is my goal to help you feel understood, heard and empowered in a supportive and non judgemental environment. I am down to earth and easy to talk to and want to develop a trusting and authentic relationship with you. I value empathy, acceptance and compassion. I am interested in the people, relationships, cultural systems, key moments, ideologies and spiritual thoughts that have helped shape you. Therapy can be life changing as healing and growth take place and new behaviors and intentions pave the way for a more positive life. Seeking therapy is a brave thing to do. Congratulations on deciding to invest in yourself because YOU ARE WORTH IT!

I work with children, teens and adults and I utilize an integrative approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy and Mindfulness. Each person is unique with different needs so I tailor my modalities to each client. I work with clients with many different issues including those related to women in transition, grief, depression, anxiety, stress, LGBTQ+, sexual abuse, trauma and life changes.
